A natural place to go in the evenings

I am not sure if two nights in a row is a trend or starting to become a habit but my apartment is 1 1/2 blocks from the river so it seems like a natural place to go in the evenings. This is a view of the east side of the Ponte Vecchio with the moon rising in the background.

Sunset on the Arno for my last night in Florence in 2016.

This photo was taken from the Ponte Vecchio looking east to the Ponte Santa Trinita…

There are nothing but gold stores, jewelry stores and diamond stores on the bridge and it literally glows when the lights come on.

OK, OK enough with the bridges. I am not sure what it is but it seems like all of the colors are brighter and more brilliant over here. Could be the wine. Speaking of which – tonight was Mollusco Zuppa (shellfish soup.) It was followed by three cheese ravioli covered in a wild boar meat sauce. I did not take a picture of it because I sensed people were starting to snicker and talk in low Italian tones about the lonely man taking pictures of his food. This ristorante was also serving a Brunello by the glass which was perfect for the lonely man. On the way home I bought a hazelnut gelato to finish the day and me.

I checked my healthy heart app last night when I got home and discovered I will need to step it up tomorrow and walk 32 miles if I am going to stay even with my calorie intake. I think I can do that.
