I have been saving up some interesting examples of street art. Although there is graffiti on the walls of some buildings there seems to be an alliance between the street artists and the taggers – one artistic discipline seems to coexist with the other.
There is an anonymous artist known only as “Blub” who is responsible for the scuba mask art. I stumbled across a store that sells what they claim are originals of this art. There is a interview with “Blub” at www.tianakai.com which seems inconsistent with sales of his work at an art store. The interview says he has posted his art all offer the world. I guess that does not include Eugene, OR.
